    There really wasn't entertainment on board ships in the early 1800s--at least not like what is advertised on today's cruise ships. However, the sailors sang sea chanties, many read books, some played cards and in between, they told jokes and recanted stories.
    If you are chosen to handle entertainment on this voyager, feel free to make up stories to entertain the crew or choose your inspiration from the following:
